Human-written code
Inspect unfamiliar, inherited or legacy projects before relying on assumptions about their quality and readiness.
INDEPENDENT SOFTWARE VERIFICATION
Jane Verify independently inspects, tests, validates and documents human-written, AI-generated and mixed software. It is the verification layer between code generation and trust.
WHY VERIFY EXISTS
AI can produce large amounts of code quickly. Developers still need an independent answer to a harder question: what actually works, what failed, what remains risky, and what evidence supports that conclusion? Jane Verify is deliberately separate from the system that wrote the code. Generate with whatever tools you choose; verify independently with Jane.
Inspect unfamiliar, inherited or legacy projects before relying on assumptions about their quality and readiness.
Put an independent verification boundary between code generation and deployment instead of asking the generator to grade itself.
Validate modern repositories where developers, assistants and autonomous coding agents all contribute to the same system.
THE JANEOS DIFFERENCE
A repository is untrusted input. Jane Verify places projects in controlled workspaces and routes execution through permitted JaneOS capabilities. The reasoning model can propose an action without automatically receiving permission to execute arbitrary code on the host.
The model reasons. JaneOS controls authority.
HOW IT WORKS
Identify languages, frameworks, dependencies, configuration, project structure and applicable validation paths.
Create a user-bound workspace and inspect code, architecture, dependencies, configuration and security-relevant implementation choices.
Execute permitted validators and project tests inside controlled boundaries and record explicit pass, fail and skip evidence.
Turn findings into structured verification results and documentation that reflect the software that actually exists.
JANE + VERIFY
Jane is not a disposable chat session attached to a scanner. Jane provides the persistent cognitive layer on JaneOS: project context, memory, knowledge, attention, investigation and reflection. Findings can therefore be related to previous findings, architectural decisions, documentation and ongoing work instead of being forgotten when a model invocation ends.
Retain architectural decisions, recurring issues, exceptions and previous verification evidence across work sessions.
A suspicious finding can become an investigation that accumulates evidence instead of disappearing into a one-off answer.
The language model is a reasoning provider. Persistent project state and execution authority remain outside the model.
WHO IT IS FOR
Check AI-generated or unfamiliar code before trusting it.
Create an independent technical pass and evidence before client delivery.
Separate software generation from the decision to release it.
Build a structured understanding of unfamiliar repositories and identify areas that require deeper human review.
THE POSITION
Coding assistants help create software. Traditional scanners find specific classes of defects. Jane Verify brings validation, controlled execution, evidence, documentation and Jane's persistent project cognition together as an independent verification layer.
